This weekend was a social weekend. Vassar had a reunion of sorts, the '00-La-La party, for those of us that have graduated in the last 10 or so years. It was, in a word, excellent. An excellent Vassar party was, if I remember correctly, one in which very few people you didn't like showed up, many of your friends were there, the liquor was cheap and plentiful, and the women were beautiful. All of the above were true. The people that did show up, in David's most eloquent words, were "choice." The always beautiful Clover and David and... I won't bother name dropping, although I did snap a few candids. Not that many, though, I was busy enjoying myself.

Several of the Hughes Hubbard paralegals were there, which was very cool. I believe that that's the first time I've ever worked with schoolmates, which added, even further, to the joyous occassion.

Sunday afternoon, I met my friend Linh from high school. To see either of us drinking tea in the East Village on a rainy Sunday would have caused many of our teachers to either roll their eyes and say "Figures." She's known me almost as long as anyone I keep in regular touch with. Only Ethan and my parents have known me longer.

Sunday night I had dinner at one of the Partner's apartments. An excellent experience that I will not expound on here.

It was a very good, if socially exhausting, weekend.

And obviously from the photo below, the treat of the month is that Ethan has returned from his journey at sea.
