A New Friend
I met a new friend today. Cheryl. We've got mutual friends, and she introduced herself to me. Nice to meet a new person, I haven't done that particularly often, lately. A very nice girl, and quite a good companion for the day.
We went to Indian for lunch. She'd never had it before. I like Indian, and around here, there's a dozen different places to try, all of them decent. We picked one, the one closest to my apartment, actually, and had a rather pleasant meal. Made smalltalk throughout the meal, because, really, what do you say to someone you'e only just met?
Ethan met us partway through the day. It was off to shopping, to Sphere for the shirt to go with the reflecto pants, and all around SoHo to see if we could find anything else to buy. Failure, other than the Sphere stop. Which isn't a problem, really, I shouldn't be spending my money when I don't go back to work until after the New Year anyway. Between the two of them, they wouldn't let me by a few of the things I tried on, which was probably for the best. Sometimes I go overboard when I shop there, and it's easy to do... about %90 of the clothes at Sphere are only for clubbing, while about %10 are my dailywear. Sphere's also the only store I've found that carries things that fit me reasonably well, although I keep looking. We wandered around SoHo as it was getting dark. It must've been at least noon (have I mentioned that I hate the wintertime?)
We chose Republic for dinner. I'm a big fan. Although I wasn't in the mood for noodles, their grilled chicken skewers and salmon sashimi both kick ass. Good new person, good conversation and a good time. I don't think I could have asked for much more.
Tommorow: Shop for a wedding dress with Liz.
In other news
Saw the Dark Crystal on DVD tonight. Good movie. Amazingly creative and innovative.
I'm still rather amused by the
Ubermoles.
Made any new friends lately?
