Quiet Time
I've been a busy little bee, yes I have.
Went home to Connecticut for my parents 35th wedding anniversay. Not going to say what I got them, but it was good. I was pleased at finally getting them something good.
I've been working a lot, of course. That's what I do. I'm a lawyer, for those of you just tuning in. Downtown Manhattan. We work a lot. Go ahead, tell your lawyer jokes. Drinks are on me if I haven't already heard it.
I've also been spending some of my hard earned money.
I got a cleaning lady. To wit: oh my fucking god. So nice. I came home today, and with the light from the hallway shining in, I just saw everything glistening in the fluorescent light. I turned on the lights, and promptly took off my shoes. Everything is so clean, I can barely face it. It's incredible. It's a miracle. It's awesome.
I also bought myself speakers for my computer. I was sick of having to lug the thing over to my stereo when i wanted to listen to things. I found, over at Deal News, a set of Creative Labs speakers, marked down to $30 from $100 something, with a $20 rebate. For ten dollars, how could I turn it down? So now, I've got speakers for my computer, and I'd like to say, for the record, they rock. It's a little thing, but it's making me extremely happy.
Not a lot to report. It seems everyone is away right now.
