Wipe

My hard drive is totally destroyed.

It looks like I've lost the last five years worth of writing, email and pictures.

Apparently, at a cost of a mere two to three thousand dollars, I _might_ be able to get some to all of it back.

Full mechanical failure, the thing just stopped working.

So.

No birthday party update with photos, they're gone.

No family photos from my family gathering, they're gone.

None of my draft writings will see the light of day, they're gone.

All gone.

I'll update sporadically for awhile. I'm getting my machine back tomorrow, a clean box, a fresh start, with nothing on it. No software, no data, no email, nothing.

Fresh start.

Maybe it's a good thing.

Maybe I'll spend the several grand to get my data back.

We'll see.
