Music

Wow.

Long time since I listened to this album.

Just found my old "Radio KAOS" by Roger Waters.

Amazing.

Slammed me back into memory.

Lots of music doing funky things to my emotions today. Heard a song that reminded me of an exgirlfriend, and I immediately snapped back to a moment we had on her couch, just quietly holding hands and listening to the music. I smiled.

I've got very few songs like that, but when the iPod hits them, sometimes I have to just close my eyes and go visit them again. Say hi.

This album, KAOS, was one of my favorites in high school. Old Pink Floyd riffs, mixed with a healthy dose of conspiracy laden paranoia was perfect music to zone out to. Didn't hurt that my girlfriend liked it too.

"When the cowboys and Arabs draw down
On each other at noon
In the cool dusty air of the city boardroom
Will you stand by a passive spectator
Of the market dictators
Will you discreetly withdraw
With your ear pressed to the boardroom door
Will you hear when the lion within you roars
Will you take to the hills"

heh.

Good times.

Movies do that to me. I can just close my eyes and think of a movie and be brought back into the moment. Sometimes I enjoy it, but usually I hate it to tears.

Yeah... "Amused To Death" was a good album, too... Now you're making me want to listen to that.
