Last night was gustavo's last night at my bar, so Rana, Ken, michelle, dakota and I all took time out of our busy evening schedules to say our fond farewell to the bartender who has served us several drinks.

I danced. I just gave up my detached demeanor (it's been hard to get excited about anything lately) and let it rejuvenate me. A combination of cheesy 80s music, nostalgia and exercise all served to raise my mood. Dakota and Michelle dancing together had more curves than the Taconic parkway, it was amazing to see.

I left before the festivities ended, in order to get a good nights rest. There was a very good vibe to the evening, a sort of closure on a period in my life. The tangled web that was woven around that place is now rent asunder, and we can all go on with our lives.

Dakota's friend Kevin, who was also there, was pretty damn amazing. Just for the record. He just stood up and started dancing one point, with total fearlessness, and he did it smoothly without looking suave or as if he were putting on airs. I was quite impressed.
